Yummy Cupcakes

I made these cupcakes following a recipe here. I think it is the best chocolate cupcake I've made so far. The frosting is simple buttercream with peppermint extract. Yum!

The Pumpkin Patch

Our little pumpkin patch is once again growing like crazy. We already have quite a few blooms on the plants. We put in four plants this year and expect pumpkins from each one.

This year I added potted plants to the pumpkin patch. This is my "Bat plant". We also planted a row of sunflowers behind the pumpkins, they are growing tall but no flowers yet. I've never planted them before so I don't know how they are going to come out. I have visions of tall yellow blooms behind the orange pumpkins. Autumn at it's best.
