Bedroom Redo
We've started the bedroom redo. It looks pretty nasty without furniture and things to cover up twenty years of living. We start the demo tonight. I don't have a set idea of how I want it to look when we are done, I'm not even sure of the colors yet. As soon as they start the walls I'll look at paint and fabric and decide on the color. I'm leaning towards apricot and red. I know I don't want a country look, I like the cottage look a lot. We'll see where we end up. It should be complete by the end of summer. It has to be, I've moved into Brittany's room and she will be back in August.

Magazines
I love magazines. I have tons and bring them with everywhere, to the hairdresser, on vacation, in the car. They are also in every room in the house. I keep some in my bedroom, some in the dining room, some in the bathroom. I have dozens in the attic. Why? I've decided I don't really need to keep them after I've read them. I rarely look at them again. Why would I when I can get new ones. So I've decided to get rid of them. It's part of my plan to get rid of the clutter that is in my life, it'll be one less thing I have to think about. I am still going to buy the magazines I enjoy, maybe find some new ones, but I will get rid of them when I'm finished looking at them.

Girlfriends
I have always been blessed with great girlfriends. In first grade my two best friends were Debbie Duke and Kari Carlson. Since then I have had many girlfriends. Some have stayed a long time and some were just for a season. All were loved and will always be remembered. Today I have the most wonderful friends anyone could hope for. You are all loved very much.

Antiquing
Today I went to a antique store with Barb. We spent most of the time looking at embroidered linens. I bought five towels, but I wanted to buy many more. We just kept finding more that I liked. One is for my laundry room and the rest are for the kitchen. I might give one to my sister for Christmas, I'm not sure yet. They are all in very good condition. I also bought a milk glass punch bowl with twelve glasses. This will probably become a gift for someone also. It was a great way to spend the afternoon with Barb. I only get to see her a couple times a year so this girlfriend time is very important to both of us. Barb and Jen are the only girlfriends that like to antique. I am very blessed to have them both.

Happy Birthday
Today is my 49th birthday. I normally don't like birthday's but this one is different. I am going to celebrate this whole year as I journey towards 50. The number itself is a milestone, I know. But it represents a lot more to me. Each decade of life should be embraced and I am choosing to do just that. I don't know what this year will hold for me but I am ready. Happy Birthday!
